Create your own self-esteem workshops for the classroom
Our specially created teaching resources are designed to enable teachers to run their own in-class workshops, helping young girls (and boys) to understand more about self-esteem and body confidence.
Young people today face a huge range of complex self-esteem issues, many of which will become apparent during their school years. Research has shown that negative body image and poor self-esteem correlates with low concentration and participation in class and can even affect school attendance.
The following workshop resources are aimed at teachers and designed to help young people build body confidence by dealing with feelings about physical appearance. The teaching resources provide useful and engaging tools to create your own workshops including facilitation notes, surprising facts, activity sheets and games, exercises, lesson plans and letters to parents.
